Metallurgical Quality Engineer 28,000 - 35,000 Stoke on Trent Permanent Opportunity Metalis are seeking a Metallurgical Quality Controller to ensure the quality and safety of our clients metallurgical processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metallurgy and quality inspection and have a keen eye for details when completing documentation and recording processes.Duties and responsibilities:

  • Perform quality control inspections on metallurgical processes to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
  • Use testing equipment and techniques to analyze the properties of metals and alloys
  • Develop and maintain quality control procedures and documentation
  • Investigate and address any quality or safety issues that arise during production
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to implement improvements to processes and materials
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding quality and safety issues and solutions

Key Areas

  • Be a technical point of contact for all queries relating to quality and safety.
  • Accountable for the success of production line reducing NCRs.
  • Communicate clearly with all areas of the business in particular the proofing team.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
  • Proven experience in quality control and health and safety in a metallurgical or related environment
  • Strong knowledge of metallurgical processes, materials, and testing methods
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to upholding quality and safety standards
