Test Engineer Stoke-on-Trent Up to 45kThe Test Engineer will be responsible for wire checking and scheme checking control and protection panels in house. Have a good understanding of control and protection schemes, able to identify and rectify design issues and provide solutions on the go. Test protection relays and lead FATs at the factory.Job responsibilities:

  • Carry out and document all tasks associated testing of the equipment.
  • Be responsible in dispatching to site a fully tested control and protection panel.
  • Ensure health and safety procedures and standards are followed. Ensure all Health and safety documentation is filed, maintained and updated.
  • Ensure testing schedules, handover and witnessing documents are updated, maintained, completed and filed / issued to project manager prior to project completion.
  • To undertake any other duties as requested by senior staff within the business

Experience:

  • ONC or equivalent in Engineering.
  • At least 3-years working experience within a testing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literate with experience of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Full UK Driving license.
  • Has good working knowledge of basic protection relays and functions.
  • Is capable of proving an electrical schematic using multimeters and injection test equipment.
  • Capable of working with protection relays and making minor changes to settings and configs as and when required.
  • Occasionally helping commissioning engineers on projects.
