Job Title: Senior Residential Support Worker Location: Stoke-On-Trent

This role involves providing day-to-day care and support for young people, engaging them in outdoor activities, and helping them overcome challenges to prepare for a fulfilling life.

The role of Senior Residential Support Worker requires enthusiasm, pro activity, and a caring nature. The position involves working in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.

• Support the Service Manager in providing the highest quality care in a safe environment.
• Participate in a twelve-week program offering alternative accommodation and activities to help young people break negative cycles.
• Engage young people in outdoor and physical activities such as mountain biking, kayaking, paddle boarding, and rock climbing.
• Establish positive relationships with young people, helping them build self-confidence and trust.
• Work flexibly over four or five-day shifts, including overnights.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of young people during activities.
• Collaborate with team members to plan and organise activities and care routines.

• Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a similar environment.
• Enjoyment of outdoor activities and a willingness to learn new skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with young people and colleagues.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
• Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Physical fitness to handle the demands of the role, including regular outdoor activities.
• Confidence and capability in managing challenging situations in a nurturing manner.

• 39 hours per week, including shifts and sleep-in duties.

• Salary: 26,972.40 - 28,189.20 per annum ( 13.30 to 13.90 per hour)
• Additional 6,765.12 per annum for sleep-ins ( 62.64 per sleep-in, estimated 9 per month)
• Total package: 33,737.52 - 34,954.32 per annum
