Randstad, a leading HR services provider, is looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our residential child care team in Stoke-on-Trent.

Pay-rates:

Days: 12.50 to 16.60 per hour

Nights: 13.50 to 17.70 per hour

Requirements:

  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • At least 6 months of experience as a residential children support worker in a residential setting within the last 3 years.
  • Your own car and a full UK driving licence.
  • An updated DBS certificate (or a valid police clearance certificate if you've lived outside the UK for over 6 months in the last 5 years).
  • Overseas police certificate, if you have lived outside the UK within the last 5 Years

What we are looking for:

  • While an NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People (or equivalent) is desirable
  • Individuals with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work well in a team and independently, and a genuine commitment to the welfare of children.
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding policies is also essential.
  • Your skills should include providing comprehensive care, fostering a safe environment, collaborating with teams, implementing care plans, supporting daily activities, and maintaining accurate records.
