About the Role

As a Recovery Coordinator, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver collaborative recovery planning and case management for individuals experiencing drug and alcohol misuse. You will support people across all stages of their recovery journey-from initial triage, assessment and engagement through to structured treatment and sustained recovery-ensuring care is person-centred, strengths-based and focused on reducing harm and improving wellbeing.

You will lead effective case management for a defined caseload, facilitating access to treatment, community resources and psychosocial interventions that build recovery capital and promote positive outcomes for individuals, families and the wider community.

About You

You are a compassionate and organised professional with experience supporting people affected by drug and alcohol use in a health, social care or community setting. You can carry out assessments, develop recovery and risk management plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions while building positive, trusting relationships.

With a strong understanding of safeguarding, harm reduction and partnership working, you manage a varied caseload, maintain accurate records and remain committed to person-centred support that promotes sustained recovery and wellbeing.

What You'll Do

- Work collaboratively with partner agencies and the multidisciplinary team to complete shared assessments, key working and interventions that support progression from engagement through structured treatment to sustained recovery.

- Manage a defined caseload, developing, implementing and reviewing personalised recovery and risk management plans in partnership with colleagues, families and significant others where appropriate.

- Facilitate access to treatment pathways, psychosocial interventions, community resources and peer support to strengthen recovery, social inclusion and harm reduction.

- Deliver evidence-based one-to-one and group interventions, maintain accurate records, contribute to reviews and meetings, and work in line with safeguarding, clinical governance and organisational policies.

To Succeed in This Role, You'll Need

- Knowledge of harm-reduction approaches in relation to substance misuse and recovery-focused models of care.

- Understanding of, and ability to deliver, evidence-based interventions such as brief interventions, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Psychosocial Interventions (PSIs), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and ITEP.

- Experience in assessment, recovery planning and the development of effective risk management and safeguarding plans.
