Stoke-on-Trent City Council Locum Children s Social Worker Safeguarding & Support Teams Pay up to £33.30 per hour Hybrid Working

Role Overview: A unique opportunity has arisen to join the dedicated Children s Safeguarding & Support Teams at Stoke-on-Trent City Council. We are seeking qualified Children and Families Social Workers, ideally with experience in safeguarding and children in care, to undertake varied and diverse case management.

This role requires delivering high-quality assessments in a timely and accurate manner, whilst maintaining a child-centred approach and working restoratively with families. Stoke-on-Trent offers genuine career progression opportunities, from Newly Qualified Social Worker through to Senior Social Worker and Team Manager.

What You ll Need:

  • Social Work Qualification and Social Work England Registration
  • Strong knowledge of childcare legislation, including a clear understanding of Working Together to Safeguard Children
  • The ability to build effective relationships with children, young people, and families
  • Experience in safeguarding practice and case management
