The Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Contracts Manager to oversee and manage large-scale electrical projects. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong client relationships and compliance with UK regulations and standards.

As a Senior Electrical Contracts Manager, you will undertake a hands-on and varied role at our offices in Nantwich, where your duties will include:

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of electrical contracts, ensuring all deadlines and financial targets are met.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage project teams, including engineers, subcontractors, and site staff.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Act as the main point of contact for client communication, resolving issues promptly.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and UK regulations (e.g., BS 7671, IET Wiring Regulations).
  • Conduct regular quality control checks and audits to maintain high standards.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, cost forecasts, and financial reports for contracts.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Assist in securing new contracts by contributing to tenders, bids, and proposals.
  • Maintain knowledge of market trends and competitor activities.

Our Requirements

  • Relevant Electrical Qualifications
  • ECS Black Card holder
  • Relevant Qualifications such as SMSTS, IOSH, NEBOSH
  • Relevant qualifications in project management (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) are desirable.
  • Extensive experience in managing large-scale electrical projects, ideally in commercial settings.
  • Proven track record in delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, standards, and UK regulations.
  • Competency in financial management and reporting.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.

Although not essential, experience working with Sage accounting would be advantageous.

The Package

Salary up to 60,000 per annum with the level dependent on experience

Permanent contract, working full time hours 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday
