We are seeking an experienced and motivated Reliability Engineering Manager to lead an engineering team and drive maintenance strategies across Uttoxeter's site. This role is pivotal in ensuring reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the production line.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Own the maintenance strategy for automation and electrical assets across the site.
  • Develop succession plans and ensure team competencies are tracked and enhanced.
  • Drive strategic initiatives to improve engineering performance and reduce downtime.
  • Oversee the Technician, Maintenance, and Stores teams, ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Provide hands-on support when required to maintain production machinery and systems.
  • Ensure all work is compliant with Health, Safety, Environmental regulations, and recorded in the CMMS system.
  • Manage contractors to ensure adherence to company policies and standards.
  • Take ownership of the Technical Workshop Area for PUWER regulations.
  • Lead continuous improvement programs and support the achievement of key operational KPIs.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years in a leadership role within engineering or maintenance.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or above); HNC/HND desirable.
  • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in compliance management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong understanding of food manufacturing or FMCG environments.
  • Leadership and coaching skills to develop talent and drive high-performing teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
