The client we are supporting is seeking a Maintenance Operative to join their growing team. This engineering-biased company wishes to add a Maintenance Operative to the team to support general maintenance duties for both preventative and repairs on the shop floor and the office areas to ensure a safe and productive environment. Job Description for the Maintenance Operative role:

• To maintain the equipment on site to ensure the best uptime
• General planned maintenance and repair of machines, facilities, and equipment
• Ensuring safe working practices via approved processes, ensuring all processes adhere to current ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 standards
• Work with the production teams to identify and implement process improvements
• General repairs to buildings and facilities
• Possible electrical repairs and installations dependent upon qualifications
• To be proactive in creating a preventative maintenance system
• Complete paperwork in a timely manner
• To complete training and mentoring for apprentices
• Once trained and competent to participate in the out-of-hours rota

For the Maintenance Operative role, it would be good to see candidates with:

• BTEC Level 2 or equivalent in a relevant subject
• 3 GCSEs, including Maths & English
• To of ideally completed an apprenticeship
• Strong attention to detail and someone who can work independently
• An organised individual who can prioritise work
• Strong communicator
• Team player
• Someone who is interested in taking on additional training
