Pay Rate: £50 60 per hour 12 hour working day , continental pattern

We are recruiting an interim INTERIM/TEMPORARY Maintenance Engineering Manager, responsible to the Site Engineering Manager. It s a large Manufacturing site, growing and with big ideas! A hands-on leadership position - FRONTLINE LEADERSHIP

A role which will lead all frontline engineering maintenance and project improvement activities in your plant / area of the factory Process, packaging lines, all reporting directly to you!

Role Responsibilities - Contract Maintenance Engineering Manager

  • Responsible for the implementation of World Class Optimised Maintenance Strategies, driving the lowest cost solutions for reliability across the site through effective predictive and preventative maintenance strategies
  • Responsible for root cause analysis, championing and managing corrective actions through your teams of engineers
  • Mentoring, developing and managing a team of engineers
  • You will devise and ensure a robust and responsive maintenance strategy
  • Development and delivery of the operational Asset Care strategy through the reduction of unplanned losses and improvement of the asset life cycle.
  • You will be responsible for the reliability and improvement of production lines, process and packaging assets
  • You will implement maintenance and capital expenditure budgets for your factory, utilising various operational methodologies such as supplier optimisation, minimal inventories, and asset management techniques
  • Managing a fixed engineering budget and Capital Expenditure budget, as well as the management of direct reports
  • You will ensure that standards and procedures are in place and regularly update to govern all engineering activities on site, including all aspects of asset registration, safe working practices, management of contractors and the assessment of competence of all engineering staff

Role Requirements - Contract Maintenance Engineering Manager

  • Demonstrating extensive experience within an FMCG manufacturing environment, such as food and drink, chemicals, pharmaceutical or high-volume continuous process manufacturing
  • Ideally graduate calibre, apprentice trained and a proven track record in the delivery of significant engineering tasks through people, plant and process
  • You will have finely developed interpersonal and communication skills and the natural ability to inspire and lead teams
  • You will also have the ability to identify improvement opportunities and monitor individual and team performance.
  • Experience of computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Demonstrating experience within a Food and Drink / FMCG / Pharmaceutical / Process / Packaging engineering environment in an engineering maintenance leadership role
