Job description

Overview We are seeking a Coded Fabricator/Welder to join our clients dynamic team based in Stoke-on-Trent. The ideal candidate will possess a strong and time served background in fabrication and welding, with the ability to work with various materials and tools. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and a commitment to producing high-quality work. As a Fabricator/Welder, you will play a crucial part in assembling components and ensuring that all products meet our stringent quality standards.

Duties

  • Fabricate and assemble heavy gauge steel and stainless steel structures and components according to specifications.
  • Perform welding tasks using various techniques, including MIG and TIG welding.
  • Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all equipment is properly stored after use.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and resolve any issues that arise during fabrication.

Skills

  • Proficient in fabricating metal parts and structures.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Experience in welding techniques, particularly MIG and TIG welding
  • Experience in heavy gauge steels and stainless steel
  • Competence in using hand tools and power tools safely.
  • Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating good communication skills.

Salary

Salary will be dependant upon experience and successful Weld Test

Pay: 14.50- 15.00 per hour
