Are you a Teacher of Religious Education (RE) who is considering flexible supply this summer term, or from the new academic year in September?

Academics (Stoke-on-Trent branch) are currently looking for enthusiastic Religious Studies (RS) or Religious Education (RE) teachers for a range of flexible supply opportunities within their partnership secondary schools in Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme.

Whether it is a long term contract or more flexible day-to-day cover; we focus the job search around you and look to provide you with the type of work you are looking for. Our supply opportunities are great as they allow our teachers to be flexible with the days that they wish to work. These roles can be ideal for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) as they could potentially lead to more long-term and permanent roles in some of our schools.

RE Teachers who apply must:

  • Hold the relevant Religious Education/Studies qualification (PGCE, B. Ed or BA Hons) with UK Qualified Teaching Status (QTS/QTLS).
  • Be able to deliver exciting and engaging Religious Education lessons using your own creativity and initiative.
  • Be a confident motivator in the classroom, and can build excellent rapport with students and staff.
  • Have excellent practical knowledge of the national curriculum and to have a proven track record of working with students in both KS3 & KS4.
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS that is registered with the Update Service, or to be prepared to apply for a new Enhanced DBS with ourselves (cost applied).

Please be aware that your daily rate will be dependent upon experience, prior qualifications, the supply requirement (short or long term) and the client rate that is currently available.

Once registered with Academics you will have a dedicated consultant who will support you with your career and who will also give you access to a variety of opportunities, all at great rates of pay!

If you are a secondary RE Teacher who holds the relevant experience and you wish to be considered for our supply opportunities from this summer term, or from the new academic year in September, please click 'APPLY NOW' below to submit your most up to date CV for immediate review.

We are dedicated to safer recruitment, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We do expect every candidate to share this commitment.
