The Opportunity
The School of Life Sciences is seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Pharmacology to lead our growing team of pharmacology researchers and contribute to the teaching on our pharmacology programmes. This is a permanent academic role.
The School of Life Sciences is rapidly expanding its research and teaching portfolio in the field of pharmacology. This role will support this expansion and build on our existing strengths in microbiology, bioengineering, biochemistry, neuroscience, medicinal chemistry, regenerative medicine and structural biology.
Our pharmacology research and teaching benefits from collaborations with the Keele School of Medicine, School of Allied Health and Pharmacy, and the Harper & Keele Veterinary School.
We are looking for a researcher with a genuine love for knowledge discovery, capacity for innovation, and strong collaborative ethic.
The successful candidate will be leading an internationally competitive research programme in the field of pharmacology. You will also be able to evidence excellence in teaching and learning in a higher education environment.
You will be assessed on a range of achievements including publications, obtaining competitive funding, generating collaborations and partnerships, promoting the careers of junior scientists, professional awards, engagement and outreach activities.
