The Opportunity

This is a senior academic role in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. You will work across the School, contributing to programmes including (but not limited to) International Relations and Politics as required.

Your expertise will be in Global Political Economy, approaching GPE from a critical and/or decolonial perspective with regional expertise.

You will deliver excellent teaching and student experience across the School and provide course and programme leadership of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in International Relations, leading module coordinators and working alongside the School Director of Education on curriculum enhancement and programme development.

You will have significant experience of programme and/or course leadership; you will have specialist knowledge and experience of Global Political Economy, applying critical and/or decolonial methodologies with regional expertise; and you will have experience of leading an academic team. You will have evidence of contribution to research in International Relations, Politics, or a cognate area, as commensurate with career stage.

An international profile in research and qualifications such as SFHEA or PFHEA would be an advantage, as might expertise in the GPE of Latin America/Eurasia/Africa.
