We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join the staff team at Harper & Keele Veterinary School as a Lecturer in Veterinary Pathology on a part-time basis. With this exciting opportunity, the post holder will have an important role in the practical and theoretical teaching and assessment of Veterinary Pathology content across the Harper & Keele BVetMS curriculum.

We are particularly looking for expertise to teach Clinical Veterinary Pathology, and this role would ideally suit someone wishing to work part-time in academia alongside a part-time role in industry.

The successful candidate must be a Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (MRCVS) (or be eligible for registration without the requirement to sit the statutory membership examination) and have higher level qualifications and depth of experience across the animal species in Veterinary Pathology. In addition to teaching, you will be expected to undertake other academic duties such as assessment, student support and student recruitment, working as part of the team as well as independently. You will be active in scholarship and professional development, and involvement in research in line with the School's strategic themes is encouraged.

The School recognises that its success depends upon the contribution and dedication of its talented staff. In return, we have a competitive benefits package available, including:

• Competitive rate of pay with annual increments within the grade (Keele Spine)

• Generous annual leave entitlement with opportunities to purchase additional leave

• Excellent staff pension scheme

• Access to continued personal, professional and career development

• On site 'outstanding' nursery (Keele campus only)

• Health and fitness facilities on site

• Cycle to work scheme (subject to eligibility)

Please note that the starting salary will typically be at the bottom of the pay scale for the grade. Harper & Keele Veterinary School launched in 2020 with our first cohort of students.
