Academics are currently looking for passionate Physical Education (PE) Teachers to work in their client secondary schools and academies in Stoke-on-Trent & Newcastle-under-Lyme. Working as a supply teacher is an ideal way to explore a variety of different schools before applying for a long term or permanent post and additionally supply is an excellent way to boost your classroom experience for your CV!
Supply opportunities can be beneficial for recently qualified teachers (ECT & NQTs) as they could potentially lead to more long-term and permanent roles in some of our schools.
Physical Education Teachers who apply for our supply opportunities must:
- Hold the relevant teaching qualification (PGCE, B. Ed or BA Hons) with UK Qualified Teaching Status (QTS/QTLS).
- Have strong classroom management and you can easily build good rapport with students.
- Deliver exciting and engaging PE lessons using your own initiative and have good knowledge of the national curriculum.
- Have evidence through referencing of working with students in both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Hold a current Enhanced DBS that is registered with the Update Service, or to be prepared to apply for a new Enhanced DBS through ourselves (cost applied).
Please be aware that your daily rate will be dependent upon experience, prior qualifications, and the client rate that is available. For long-term opportunities you will be paid according to your teacher pay grade.
