Job Title: Functional Skills Tutor Location: Midlands (National Delivery Required) Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: 29,400 - 33,300 DOE

Hybrid Role - Driver Essential (Access to Own Vehicle Required)

Role Overview:

As a Functional Skills Tutor, you will deliver high-quality Functional Skills training at Level 1 and 2, both face-to-face and remotely. You will support learners in achieving their qualifications, monitor their progress, and ensure a seamless learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct Functional Skills reviews with learners, identifying skill and knowledge gaps.

Develop and deliver individualised training plans tailored to learner needs.

Maintain accurate learner records on Bud software.

Utilise BKSB software and analytics to enhance learner outcomes.

Deliver engaging and high-quality training, ensuring compliance with awarding body standards.

Support learners in preparing for exams and ensuring timely completion.

Use Teams Classroom for lesson delivery and ensure session attendance.

Provide support to tutors in tracking learner progress and adherence to exam protocols.

Co-ordination & Support:

Monitor learner progress and support timely exam completion.

Maintain detailed records of learner progress and report findings.

Provide information and support to employees and employers regarding apprenticeship programmes.

Participate in CPD and standardisation events.

Administration:

Collaborate with the Admin Team to ensure accurate learner records.

Record learner progress and ensure timely achievement of qualifications.

Ensure employer visit documentation and learner relationship records are up to date.

Support and promote safeguarding policies to ensure learner and staff safety.

Essential Criteria:

Experience or qualification in delivering high-quality Functional Skills training at Level 1 & 2 (both remotely and face-to-face).

Level 2 Numeracy and Literacy qualifications.

Strong IT skills and experience with e-portfolios.

Ability to motivate learners and support timely qualification completion.

Full driving licence, own vehicle, and willingness to travel.

Desirable Criteria:

Assessor/teaching qualification or relevant degree.

Experience in Further Education or a similar environment.
