Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and forward-thinking Assistant Head Teacher to support the Head Teacher and leadership team in driving school improvement and ensuring high standards of teaching and learning. The successful candidate will demonstrate outstanding leadership, a commitment to student success, and the ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Head Teacher in providing strategic direction and development of the school.

  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and evaluation of the curriculum and academic programs.

  • Lead on specific areas of school improvement, such as teaching and learning, pastoral care, or assessment.

  • Support and mentor teaching staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

  • Assist in managing the school day-to-day operations and uphold high standards of behaviour and achievement.

  • Engage with parents, carers, and the wider school community to build strong partnerships.

  • Promote and uphold the school s ethos, values, and vision.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Education or a related field.

  • Minimum of 1 years of teaching experience, with recent leadership responsibilities.

  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage change effectively.

  • Strong knowledge of curriculum development, assessment, and educational best practices.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

  • All applicants must undergo an enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce) prior to working if not already in possession of one that is registered to the update service.
