We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Health and Safety Advisor to a growing contractor based in Stoke On trent. My client delivers high-quality projects in the Industrial & Commercial sector.

The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promote safe work practices, and foster a culture of safety on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and review safety policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees and subcontractors on health and safety best practices.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities.
  • Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to ensure safety measures are integrated into project plans.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and standards, advising the team on necessary changes.

Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Experience in a construction environment or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and provide actionable recommendations.
