Brief

CAD operator needed for a well-known facilities management organisation based in Stoke who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded CAD Operator that takes pride in their work with an in-depth knowledge of asset management experience

The successful candidate must have experience in Auto CAD / Revit have a keen interest in becoming a CAD Operator.

What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the CAD Operator will include:

  • Survey and update existing 'as built' drawings
  • Convert drawings to DWG format.
  • Revise and update existing drawings reflecting design changes, in collaboration with other teams to ensure consistent documentation of the projects.
  • Ensure documentation is held for all aspects of the O&M manuals
  • Update and maintain elecronic filing systems.
  • Maintain notes, design calculations and other documentation (such as drawings, bill of materials, list of design parameters, and performance guarantees) for future reference.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of third party items. Review and modify information with supervision by the Compliance Manager/Account Director / Project and Planning Managers
  • Establish filing guidelines for drawings to maintain up-to-date drawings.

What experience you need to be the successful CAD Operator:

  • Able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail.
  • Asset management experience
  • Able to interpret complex sketches, notes and technical information
  • Electrical qualifications to NVQ level 3 or higher.
  • CAD designing experience
  • Proficient in AutoCAD or equivalent.
  • Ability to read design specifications and technical drawings
  • Able to work alone effectively and as part of a team
  • The ability to transfer, display and manipulate your work using Microsoft Office and other programmes
  • Attention to detail to create accurate and detailed drawings and check other colleagues' work for accuracy and quality
  • Excellent communication skills to maintain strong relationships with all team members and customers.
  • You'll have great interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to deliver to deadlines.
  • Ability to think laterally and creatively to develop innovative solutions to challenges and identify opportunities for improvement and advantage.
