Our client specialises in housing projects across the UK and is seeking a talented Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial Team.

Key Responsibilities: As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in: - Supporting the Quantity Surveyor with regular site visits and collaboration with the production team. - Assisting in the preparation and review of tenders, while gaining insights into client requirements for value engineering. - Providing preliminary cost advice on variations and aiding in the approval process. - Offering support with technical advice on project documentation and ensuring compliance with standards. - Assisting in overseeing commercial aspects of assigned projects to help maximise value in collaboration with Finance and Procurement teams. - Contributing to the efficient and accurate completion of all commercial responsibilities. - Identifying potential debt risks and assisting in negotiations with third parties. - Supporting the forecasting of monthly and annual profit figures to help maintain project viability. - Contributing to safety efforts on-site and collaborating with the safety team to uphold safety policies.

What They re Looking For: - Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent - Relevant experience or internship in Quantity Surveying is a plus. - Proficiency in computer skills, particularly in Word and Excel. - Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. - Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on cultivating relationships. - High level of organisation with the ability to identify and address problems effectively. - A genuine passion for the industry and a commitment to hard work.
