The Opportunity
We are looking for a motivated team member to join a team of staff in Keele University's Estate & Campus Services Directorate.
The Directorate is responsible for the strategic planning, development, operation and maintenance of the university's physical estate and campus services. It acts as the custodian of a large and complex 600 acre campus, overseeing all academic buildings, student accommodation, infrastructure and outdoor spaces, while ensuring they are safe, compliant and fit for purpose.
The Facilities Co ordinator plays a central role in ensuring the smooth, safe and efficient operation of the campus estate. The postholder manages day to day facilities activity, coordinates contractor visits, oversees access to specialist areas, and responds to both planned and reactive maintenance needs.
The role requires excellent communication, strong organisational skills and a proactive, solutions focused approach. In addition to operational coordination, the Facilities Co ordinator contributes to service development, stakeholder support, compliance assurance and continuous improvement across the Estates function.
You will have experience in a similar role, liaising and building relationships with contractors and customers, forward planning, organising resources and improving systems and processes in a Facilities Management/Estates function.
