We are working with a well-established industrial trading company based in Burton upon Trent to find a meticulous and commercially mindedSales Ledger & Credit Controller who thrives on accuracy, meets deadlines with ease, and enjoys building great relationships both internally and externally.

In this role, youll be the heartbeat of the local finance function, reporting directly to the Finance Manager/CFO and making a tangible impact on the companys financial health. From managing credit risk to keeping accounts reconciled and cash flow forecasts sharp, youll have a varied role thats as much about relationship management as it is about precision with the numbers.

What you will be doing:

• Managing the credit control process setting credit limits, reviewing payment histories, and making sure invoices are paid on time.
• Building great relationships with customers to resolve queries quickly and keep everything running smoothly.
• Reconciling daily bank receipts and performing monthly bank reconciliations.
• Assisting with cashflow forecasting and supporting local factoring activities.
• Contributing to month-end reporting and helping maintain group reporting data in the ERP system.

What we are looking for:

• Finance/Accounting degree or CICM/AAT qualification (or equivalent experience).
• A strong grasp of local accounting standards and regulations.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and great with deadlines.
• Proficiency in Excel and financial/ERP systems (SAP a bonus).
• Confident communicator with excellent negotiation skills.
