Join me at the historic Spode Museum for a creative afternoon inspired by the beautiful landscapes, rolling countryside and natural beauty of Staffordshire.
Using the art of wet felting, you'll learn how to transform soft merino wool fibres into a stunning felted landscape, capturing everything from patchwork fields and winding country lanes to dramatic skies, moorland views and the colours of the changing seasons. Whether you're inspired by the Staffordshire Moorlands, Cannock Chase, the Peak District fringe or your own favourite local view, you'll create a unique artwork full of texture, colour and character.
Wet felting is a wonderfully relaxing process, allowing fibres to blend and merge into painterly scenes that are both expressive and tactile. Throughout the workshop, you'll be guided through the techniques needed to create depth, movement and atmosphere within your landscape.
There could hardly be a more inspiring venue than the historic Spode Museum itself. Located on the original Spode factory site, this remarkable setting celebrates generations of creativity and craftsmanship in the heart of The Potteries, making it the perfect place to spend an afternoon creating your own piece of textile art.
