A grateful woman has raised over £1,000 for the unit at Royal Stoke University Hospital which saved her live.

June Jackson, from Macclesfield, completed a skydive to raise money for University Hospitals of North Midlands Charity.

She plunged through the skies at the weekend, almost three-and-a-half years after she had live-saving heart surgery at Royal Stoke University Hospital.

The money raised will be donated to University Hospitals of North Midlands Charity (https://skydivetilstock.co.uk).

She told Macclesfield Nub News: "It was a truly brilliant experience. The best bit was after the parachute came up and you were able to see everything."

June has raised an incredible £1,120 for the charity which helps to raise funds for the department (and doctors) which treated her in April 2020.

And it is not too late to donate, you can do so by clicking on this link.
