Woman dies following Newcastle-under-Lyme crash

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman in her 90s died following a crash in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
Staffordshire Police was called at 1.35pm on Friday (31 July) to Bowsey Wood Road in Madeley following reports of a collision involving a red BMW and a silver Ford.
A passenger in the Ford, a woman in her 90s, died at the scene.
The police force said the woman's next of kin are being supported by specially-trained officers.
The driver and two other passengers in the Ford were taken to hospital with minor injuries, while the driver of the BMW was not injured.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "We are keen to speak to anyone who was travelling in the area with any information or footage which could help collision investigators.
