A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a body was found in a park in Newcastle-under-Lyme yesterday morning (3 March).

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: "Just before 7.45am yesterday (Sunday 3 March) we were called to Queen Elizabeth Park, on Silverdale Road, Newcastle-under-Lyme, following reports a body had been found.

"Sadly, the body of a man in his 50s was found at the scene.

A 30-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder (Nub News).

"A 30-year-old woman, from Newcastle-under-Lyme, was arrested on suspicion of murder and has been released on bail while enquires continue."
