Big Centenary Tea Party Exhibition | Stoke Minster | Fri 5 and Sat 6 June

The Big Centenary Tea Party will be brought back to life in an immersive, multi-zone exhibition at Stoke Minster on Friday 5 June from 8.30am to 5pm and Saturday 6 June from 10am to 6.30pm.

It comes as the city prepares to celebrate the second Stoke-on-Trent Day – an annual celebration held on 5 June, the day city status was granted by King George V.

Simon Drakeford, of Stoke Minster, said: "The images from our city-wide centenary tea party, remind us of how great we are all together and what brilliant World Record Breakers we all are."

The exhibition - created by YMCA North Staffordshire, Stoke Minster, Carse and Waterman and Pete Herbert of PH Productions - will feature photography, film, sound and interactive displays

Our Land | Stoke Film Theatre | Hartshill Rd | Fri 5 to Sat 6 May

Stoke-on-Trent's independent cinema, Stoke Film Theatre, will be showing Our Land on Friday 5 and Saturday 6 June at 7:45pm.

The cinema is located at The Wade Centre, Hartshill Road.

Stoke Film Theatre said: "Our Land takes us to the heart of the 'Right to Roam' movement as it embarks on a provocative trail of mass trespass, campaigning and education, while also exploring landowners' concerns around environmental protection and the danger such widespread access could pose to a landscape already under threat."

Tickets are available online at £9.16 for an adult ticket (including booking fees).

Diamond Families Open Days | Diamond Families Farm | Saverley Green | Fri 5 and Sat 6 June

Diamond Families Farm will be hosting two open days on Friday 5 and Saturday 6 June from 11am to 1.30pm.

Visitors can experience animal interactions, sensory zones, messy play and crafts.

Diamond Families Farm said: "Come and visit Diamond Families at our therapeutic farm and education provision.

"We warmly invite partners, professionals, and families to discover how we support children, young people and families to thrive."

Cheadle Spitfire Day | Cheadle | Sat 6 June

Cheadle Discover Group, in conjunction with Team Cheadle, are organising a Spitfire Day event on the High Street and in the Market Square on Saturday 6 June.

The organisers said: "Join us for an event on the High Street and in the Market Square celebrating one of Cheadle's major contributions to the war effort. A Spitfire named Hope of Cheadle, that was funded through donations from residents of the Cheadle District.

"The show piece of this event will a full sized replica Spitfire in the Market Square. A sight not to be missed!"

Preliminary event times are 12pm - 4pm (possibly subject to change).

Pre-loved Market | Newcastle-under-Lyme | Sun 7 June

A pre-loved market is heading to the Stones in Newcastle-under-Lyme on Sunday 7 June.

The orgnaisers said: "We're bringing a brand new preloved market to the Stones, giving you the chance to sell, shop and have a proper clear out using our market stalls."

They added: "It's all about giving those items stuck in the back of your cupboard or bottom of your wardrobe a second life, making a bit of extra cash and keeping good stuff out of the bin."

The market will take place from 10am until 3pm.
