Iyad Sughayer | Stoke Rep Theatre | Thur 7 May

Iyad Sughayer will be performing at the Stoke Rep Theatre on Thursday 7 May.

The organisers said: "'Rising Star'. Nominated with that title by Classic FM, Iyad was the competition winner in the Young Classical Artists Trust in 2021 and is now our own 'Rising Star' for this season."

Potteries Folk Club | Fenton Town Hall | Fri 8 May

Dan Walsh will be this month's guest at The Potteries Folk Club at Fenton Town Hall on Friday 8 May.

The Potteries Folk Club said: "When Dan Walsh first picked up the banjo, he did so with the passion and enthusiasm of a youngster who simply loved its sound. He didn't know anything about the various playing styles, or that he would in time become a widely acknowledged world-class proponent of the instrument. He just thought it sounded cool."

Tickets are available online and cost £13.70 (including booking fees).

Viva Las Vale | Port Vale FC | Burslem | Fri 8 May to Sat 9 May

Stoke Amateur Theatre Society will be presenting a musical tribute to Las Vegas at Port Vale Football Club on Friday 8 and Saturday 9 May.

The organisers said: "Stoke Amateur Theatre Society presents an evening of glitz, glamour and grand entertainment.

"A special musical tribute to Las Vegas - the entertainment capital of the world.

"An original production written, performed and supported by local people with a love for music, dance and professional standard community theatre."

Tickets are available from £12.

Science Fair | The Glebe | Stoke | Sun 10 May

The Glebe will be hosting a free to attend science fair from 12pm to 5pm on Sunday 10 May.

The organisers said: "A free, all ages science fair! A full afternoon of displays, activities & demonstrations from scientists, educators, students & enthusiasts from a wide range of fields in the rustic setting of The Glebe Pub in the heart of Stoke.

"Meet the experts, engage with real world science and get your burning questions answered."

There is free Sunday parking available on Kingsway car park

World of Wedgwood Artisan Market | Barlaston | Sun 10 May

The World of Wedgwood Artisan Market will return on Sunday 10 May from 10am to 4pm.

There will be handcrafted gifts, art and homewares alongside street food and sweet treats.

The organisers said: "Join us this May as the World of Wedgwood Artisan Market returns to the stunning Wedgwood grounds for a day packed with creativity, community and feel-good vibes."

There is free entry to the market and free parking is available.
