Middleport Artisan Market

The market is open 10am-4pm on Saturday and Sunday (Middleport Artisan Market).

A two-day event taking place this weekend where visitors can pick up some locally made gifts and treats at a beautiful heritage venue on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th September.

There will be free parking, lots of amazing local traders and even more creative independent businesses lining Port and Harper Street in Middleport.

Minis & Moon Boots: Sixties Space Race Style

Tickets to this event cost £15 and includes a cream tea at the museum (Potteries Museum & Art Gallery).

Meridith Towne will be over the moon as you join her mission to explore the furthest reaches of her wardrobe in search of the phenomenal sixties' fashions inspired by the space race.

As you travel through the galaxy you'll delight in the fabulous display of original clothes from the era, discover the women of STEM who launched humankind to the moon and be dazzled by style icons who brought space style to the movies and disco dancefloor.

Presentation at 1pm, tickets £15 and includes a cream tea. Please book in advance by calling 01782 232323 or emailing [email protected]

Carrie Reichardt - Mad in Stoke: Riot Here Riot Now

The exhibition, at Spode Museum in Stoke, is free to attend (Spode Museum).

In parallel with her AWARD exhibition at the British Ceramics Biennial, Carrie Reichardt, renegade potter and extreme craftivist, is exhibiting a new collection of work. Carrie takes vintage Staffordshire ceramics and using her trademark intelligent humour and a keen eye on the political zeitgeist adapts them for a contemporary audience.

This must see exhibition is guaranteed to impress, provoke and amuse in equal measure - don't miss it!
