The January blues are upon us but don't worry - there are plenty of events in Stoke to keep you entertained this weekend.

Friday 13 January - Queen Extravaganza

Queen Extravaganza, the official Queen tribute band produced by Roger Taylor and Brian May, returns to the UK, following sell out shows across the globe.

This spectacular 90-minute show features more than 20 Queen classics drawn from the band's biggest hits: Bohemian Rhapsody, Another One Bites the Dust, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Under Pressure, We Will Rock You, We Are the Champions, A Kind of Magic, Radio Ga Ga, Somebody to Love and Killer Queen as well as other fan favourites. "It's our own official tribute band" says Roger Taylor.

The show is being held at Victoria Hall and begins at 7.30pm.

Saturday 14 January - Trentham Gardens Parkrun

A free, fun, and friendly weekly 5k community event for participants of all standards. It is not a race against other runners, but a timed run and it can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan.

Walk, jog or run – it's up to you!

It is free to take part but Trentham Gardens ask that you register before you first come along.

The run begins at 10am.

Saturday 14 January - Guided Tour of Gladstone Pottery Museum

The tour will take place in a relaxed and supportive environment, delivered by experienced and knowledgeable tour guides.

Please note this is an indoor and outdoor event in a cobbled courtyard, so warm clothing and sensible footwear are recommended.

10.30am – 12.30pm or 1.00pm-3.00pm.

Tickets £20 and includes a light lunch.

Sunday 15 January - Honey Box Live

The Honey Box is a unique live music event that highlights original music from local artists in Staffordshire and Cheshire. 

Performing this month, there is Jupiter's Beard, Cathy Jain and Charlotte Bettson.

Please arrive just after 3pm to be seated by 3.30 so Honey Box can do final preparations before going live.

The show is at King Street Studios, Newcastle-under-Lyme.

Sunday 15 January - Etruria Valley Fun Run

Stoke-on-Trent City Council is delighted to be able to host the Etruria Valley Fun Run after last month's Santa Dash was postponed due to bad weather.

Families from across the city are invited to be amongst the first to experience the new Etruria Valley Link Road before it officially opens to traffic in January 2023.

Dig out your trainers and join us at 10.30am for a walk, jog, run, push or dance along the 2km route.

The event is suitable for all ages and abilities and is completely free! Everyone taking part will receive a medal and a sweet treat.

So join us to celebrate the completion of the newly-constructed Etruria Valley Link Road and book your place today.
