Schools in Stoke-on-Trent break up for February half term today (17 February) and there are plenty of events happening across the week to keep your children busy.
February is also National Library Lovers Month, so don't forget to pay a visit to your local library!

Monday 20 February - New Horizons
New Horizons, Chell, will be hosting their holiday activity programme including inflatable aqua run, sportshall activities and family fun swims so you can keep those children (and big kids) entertained without having to brave the elements!
11am-12.30pm - Inflatable Aqua Run (£5)
1pm-3pm - Floats and Toys (£4)
10am-4pm - Sports Hall Activities (£5)

Children under 8 must be supervised by an adult.
Wednesday 22 February - Witches and Wizards at Gladstone Pottery Museum
Join Q20 Theatre as they take you on adventurous journey through the magical world of witches and wizards.
Meet our two witches as they cast a spell and enchant you with their incantations. Take lessons from our wizards as they conduct a sorcery battle and talk to our enchanted cauldron as he simmers away underneath the giant bottle ovens.
Take part in a special Potion making workshop where you get the chance to create your own potion, and create your own wand, chose what kind of witch or wizard you want to be and pour the right magic into your wand.
Free with museum admission.

Wednesday 22 February - The Teapot @ Milton
The Teapot is Milton's brand-new autism-friendly cafe and they are holding an event on Wednesday 22nd February to keep the kids entertained this half term.
Children will receive a hot meal and get to paint a ceramic animal and decorate a cake.
It costs £15 for the first child and £10 for any additional children.

Friday 24 February - Stoke Lantern Parade
B-Arts are really excited to announce our first ever lantern parade in Stoke, celebrating the long history of Stoke-Upon-Trent.
The parade will take place on Friday 24th February (meeting outside Stoke Library at 5.30pm ready for a 6pm parade start and finishing at Stoke Minster)
Come make a lantern with us at our FREE workshops taking place inside Stoke Indoor Market (South Wolfe Street) on Friday 17th February, Saturday 18th February and Wednesday 22nd February drop in anytime between 10-3pm.
The lanterns we create are hung on a bamboo pole, do not get let loose and do not harm wildlife.
Friday 24 February - Make Clay Pigs at Gladstone Pottery Museum
During half term we will be making clay pigs to help celebrate The Pig Walk Taking place in Longton on 26 March. The Pig Walk is a Carnival Parade! A giant pig puppet will lead musicians and performers through the Centre of Longton.
So, to get in the spirit make a clay pig at Gladstone Pottery Museum on Friday 24 February, 11am – 12.30pm and 1.30-3pm. Drop in activity, no need to book.
£3 per child taking part, please pay at reception. This is in addition to the entrance fee to the museum.
Friday 24 February - Life Professional Wrestling
United Wrestling live presents Turning Point, a two hour action, packed family, fun, night of wrestling.
Tickets available on our website or on the door on the night.
Saturday 25 February - Family Pizza Night
The Teapot is Milton are hosting a Pizza Night if you are looking for something different to do in half term.

Saturday 25 February - Ceramic Makers Market
Ceramics enthusiasts are being invited to attend the first-ever Makers Market at Gladstone Pottery Museum.
This brand-new free event will take place on Saturday 25 February between 11am-4pm.
Visitors will have the chance to see hand-produced ceramic pieces within the Victorian Pottery site.
Works on display for sale will include previous contestants from the hit television series, The Great Pottery Throw Down, which is filmed at Gladstone.
Entry to the Makers Market will be free, plus the Museum will also be open to the general public from Wednesday 22 February until Sunday 26 February for half term, with regular admission prices applying.
