Tribute paid to 'man of integrity, kindness and unwavering generosity' killed in Newcastle-under-Lyme crash

The family of a man who died following a crash in Newcastle-under-Lyme have paid tribute, describing his "integrity, kindness and unwavering generosity".

Malachy Dozie Mbah died on Saturday 14 February after the car he was travelling in crashed with a lorry, at around 4.35am, close to junction 16 of the A500.

The family of the 31-year-old have now paid tribute to their "deeply loved son, brother and friend".

They said: "Malachy was the gentle centre of our family; a man of integrity, kindness and unwavering generosity.

"Loyal and dependable, he moved through life with quiet strength and honour, lifting others effortlessly and leaving warmth wherever he went.

"A dedicated professional, he was well-regarded and respected by his colleagues at Stoke-on-Trent City Council.

"Everyone who knew him speaks of the same light and steady goodness.

"His loss has left an immeasurable void in our lives, but we remain thankful for the love he gave so freely and the joy of having shared life with him."

Staffordshire Police explained that an investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing and have urged anyone who saw what happened or who may have relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to contact them on 101 quoting incident number 124 of 14 February or contacting the Collision Investigation Unit at [email protected].
