All lanes have now reopened on the M6 northbound between J15 (Stoke-on-Trent) and J16 (Crewe).

Traffic was stopped earlier this afternoon due to a seven-vehicle collision "with injuries reported".

Emergency services are in attendance.

National Highways is warning motorists of 120 minute delays and around eight miles of congestion.
