Stoke-on-Trent road to be one-way for next 12 weeks as part of Severn Trent upgrade project

A one-way system will be in place on a Stoke-on-Trent road for 12 weeks from today (15 June), as part of a water pipe replacement project.
The disruption comes as Severn Trent partially closes Ford Green Road as part of an ongoing £25 million upgrade project to install 23 miles of new pipes across the city.
The works - expected to last for 12 weeks - will introduce a one-way system allowing traffic from Norton towards Smallthorne to continue
Traffic will not be able to travel from Smallthorne towards Norton and drivers are asked to follow the signed diversion route, which will take traffic via High Lane - Biddulph Road - Oxford Road and Chell Head Road.
Severn Trent also said that multi-way traffic lights will be used for approximately one week between Croft Court and Kinver Street.

"Thank you to everyone who's shared feedback with us – we've listened, and we want to explain what's planned next and what this means for you."
A consultation event was held over plans to replace water pipes on Smallthorne Bank before the works began on 18 May.
The next drop-in event will take place on 18 June at The Salvation Army on Camp Road between 3pm and 6.30pm.
