A Stoke-on-Trent Poundbakery branch has been closed for several days and disappeared from the company's website.

The shutters are currently down at the Hanley branch of the bakery chain, on Parliament Row.

The Hanley store is also no longer listed on the company's website. Instead searches for 'Stoke-on-Trent' point users towards the Crewe branch.

The Sentinel reported that one of their readers said: "Hanley Pound Bakery shut on Saturday with two hours notice. Staff were given two hours to get their belongings and leave. It was shut with no warning."

The Newcastle-under-Lyme branch has also recently closed.

Nub News has approached Poundbakery for comment.
