A Stoke-on-Trent dealer has been jailed after being caught with a drugs haul estimated to be worth up to £89,000.
Nafiz Aygun, of Fegg Hayes, was sentenced to four-years-and-four-months at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Friday (10 April) after he admitted possession with intent to supply a class A drug (cocaine), possession with intent to supply a class B drug (cannabis) and possessing criminal property.
It comes after the 24-year-old was stopped while driving a car on Tunstall High Street in September last year.
Staffordshire Police officers, who believed the car to be linked to the supply of drugs, detained Aygun for a search and when they asked if he had anything on him, he told officers that he had class A drugs in the car.
A large amount of drugs and cash were found, along with further drugs and cash at his home.
Staffordshire Police explained that more than £2,000 in cash was found during the searches.
Aygun was arrested and charged with the offences. He pleaded guilty at an earlier court hearing.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "Our major and organised crime proactive teams are taking proactive action like this every single day in Staffordshire as we continue to tackle organised crime locally.
