On 30 September, a 55-year-old man was arrested following a police investigation into a series of attempted burglaries in the Haslington area.

Staffordshire Police were able to stop the man on the M6.

He has since been charged with two counts of attempted burglary.

Cheshire Police said: "We would like to thank the residents of Haslington who came together to challenge the suspect's actions and report the incidents promptly.

"Your vigilance and swift reporting enabled officers to quickly commence an investigation and secure this positive outcome.

"If you come to Cheshire to commit crime, be assured that we will do everything we can to identify you, pursue you, and bring you before the courts."
