New BYD and Motor Match car dealership opens today in Stoke-on-Trent
Two new car dealerships are opening in Stoke-on-Trent today - with some vehicles for sale with built-in karaoke.
Swansway Motor Group is opening a branch of its secondhand car dealership, Motor Match, and Chinese car brand, BYD, on Victoria Road in Fenton from today.
The opening of the first BYD and Motor Match branches in Stoke-on-Trent has created 14 jobs in the city with a further 13 employees from other Swansway dealerships now relocated to Fenton.
Before they became known as a prominent EV manufacturer, BYD were a major player in the electronics market and specialised in the creation of components for mobile and laptop devices - even now, 50% of Apple's iPads are built with BYD components.
With features such as a 12.8" Electric rotary touchscreen, 360 camera, a voice control system, indirect driver fatigue management and more BYD's six models are packed full of tech.
As well, BYD in collaboration with Stingray, has integrated a karaoke system into its vehicles. This system includes professional wireless karaoke microphones and a karaoke app with over 100,000 licensed songs, offering a wide range of genres
The newly appointed head of business at the new Stoke-on-Trent dealership, John Buckley, has been with Swansway Motor Group for over 20 years - most recently at Crewe Audi.

"Our BYD dealerships are trained to offer the complete servicing and MOT package for your vehicle with complimentary vehicle health checks, MOT's and servicing available."
Swansway says customers will be able to part-exchange their vehicles at both BYD and Motor Match with a range of cars for sale less than £10,000 and BYD models available through the Mobility scheme.
Swansway will be hosting an official opening event in June with more details coming soon.
