A brand-new self-storage park has officially opened in Stoke-on-Trent, hoping to bring secure and affordable storage options to local households and businesses.

Lock Stock Self Storage has launched its one-acre storage park on Uttoxeter Road – becoming the first of the UK storage giant's sites in Staffordshire.

The new facility has 140 containers, giving customers the choice of renting 10-, 20- and 40-foot-long units with flexible payment options to ensure customers 'only pay for what you need'.

"We meet a lot of different needs for different people," says area manager, Richard Warner.

Richard explained that self-storage is becoming an increasingly popular choice for households and businesses – from providing secure storage during house moves to storing tools and equipment for tradespeople.

He said: "When we open a new site, we make sure that we get everything right for the customers.

"It is standard across all of our sites that security meets the highest specifications, for example with the electronic gates and cameras.

"We always make sure we maintain high-quality containers and use brand-new containers straight off the lot."

The site also offers 24/7 access with an on-call system for staff to assist with any issues that arise.

At the nearby Crewe site, local businesses have even been operating out of storage containers as an alternative to shops and warehouses.

Ollie Beech, Lock Stock Self Storage's marketing and communications officer, added: "Storage is for absolutely everybody.

"It is becoming more and more of an essential need, not just for businesses, but for households as well.

"Whether you're downsizing, moving, or decluttering, this is an affordable and flexible way expanding your space."

Founded in Denbigh, North Wales in 2000, Lock Stock now operates more than 35 sites and has over 5,700 storage units.

The new site is the latest step in an ambitious expansion strategy that has seen Lock Stock move into Cheshire, Merseyside and other new markets.

Ollie added: "We have targeted Staffordshire and Stoke for quite a while. It's an area with a lot of storage demand and also somewhere that we felt we could work really well for the local residents.

"It's a site that we are really pleased to have acquired and we are already looking into different ways that we can work with the local community here as well.

"Its really exciting for us and it's a landmark opening to finally come into this part of the UK."
