Tales in the Park | Fenton | Fri 7 Aug
The National Literacy Trust is inviting families to Fenton Park on Friday 7 August for the return of Tales in the Park.
The free event will take place between 11am and 3pm featuring storytelling sessions, circus skills, bouncy castles and free books donated by Harper Collins.
The organisers said: "Taking place in parks across the six towns of Stoke-on-Trent, Tales in the Park is free for all Stoke families to attend and there will be something for everyone to enjoy."
Claynauts Workshop | Mitchell Arts Centre | Hanley | Fri 7 Aug
In the run up to 70 years of MAC, the Mitchell Arts Centre is hosting Claynauts workshops.
The organisers said: "In partnership with HSL Pottery and supported by National Lottery Heritage fund in a bid to celebrate Mitchell Arts Centre in the run up to 70 years of MAC- We bring your Claynauts, and immersive, interactive clay experience for young explorers aged 7+."
Tickets are available for £5 and admit one adult and one child with one fired piece of clay.

Art Jam | Hanley | Sat 8 Aug
Stoke-on-Trent City Council has granted Stoke-on-Trent City Centre BID special permission to use the former bus station site on Birch Terrace hoarding, as a canvas to showcase the talents of local and visiting artists.
Spectators have been invited to come along throughout the day to watch as artists create the large-scale original pieces live on site.
Richard Buxton, CEO of Stoke-on-Trent City Centre BID said: "Following the fantastic response to Art Jam last year, we're thrilled to be bringing it back for 2026.
"It's a brilliant opportunity to celebrate the wealth of creative talent we have both locally and further afield, while giving people another reason to visit the city centre and experience something completely different.
World of Wedgwood Artisan Market | Barlaston | Sun 9 Aug
The World of Wedgwood Artisan Market will return on Sunday 9 August from 10am to 4pm.
The market will showcase street food, handmade gifts, ceramics and homewares.
The organisers said: "Make the most of the summer with a relaxed Sunday filled with local creativity, wonderful food and plenty to discover at the World of Wedgwood Artisan Market
"Set in the beautiful surroundings of Barlaston, our August market brings together talented makers, artists, bakers and independent producers for a celebration of everything handmade and local."
Entry is free and there is free parking available.
