A section of Tunstall's High Street is due to close next week, whilst Stoke-on-Trent City Council cuts back a tree.

High Street will be closed between Newfield Street and Bond Street from 8am until 6pm on Tuesday 11 February.

The council says pedestrian facilities will not be maintained during this time.

Traffic will be diverted via James Brindley Way, Victoria Park Road, The Boulevard and Scotia Road.

A temporary traffic regulation order reads: "Notice is hereby given that Stoke-on-Trent City Council intend to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act, 1991, the effect of which will be to prohibit the driving of any vehicle along High Street between Newfield Street and Bond Street.

"The order is to allow for the completion of works to cut back a tree and will come into operation on Tuesday 11th February 2025 @ 08:00 to Tuesday 11th February 2025 @ 18:00 or until the works it is proposed to carry out are completed, whichever is the earlier."
