Roadworks are set to start next week at Heron Cross junction in Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent.

Stoke-on-Trent City Council will be completing carriageway investigations, and road repairs, overnight from Tuesday 6 February, starting at 6pm.

Works will continue day and night until the road can be reopened. Access will be maintained, but only to houses.

As a full junction closure is needed the impact will be seen on Blurton Road, Grove Road, Duke Street, and Heron Street. Diversions will be in place during this time.

Bus routes will be impacted during the junction closure, all residents are encouraged to use alternative bus stops during this time. More information will be provided by the bus operators.

Councillor Amjid Wazir, cabinet member for city pride, sustainability, and enforcement advised: "We know a full junction closure is not ideal for residents or road users, but we need to ensure the safety of everyone involved.

"We thank residents in advance for their patience and urge anyone who may be affected to allow extra journey time during these works."
