Local residents are being invited to celebrate the history of the iconic Hanley Economic Potters 'Arf Marathon with a brand-new nostalgia-filled display at The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery.

A Celebration of the Potters 'Arf, a new display at the museum, will open to the general public on Saturday 27 May from 10am.

The display will feature a host of race memorabilia, including past finisher medals, race t-shirts, a winner's decanter, and plates.

Alongside the display, runners who haven't registered for this year's Potters 'Arf Marathon, will get the opportunity to register at The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery on Saturday 3 June from 10am until midday.

This year's Potters 'Arf marathon takes place on Sunday 11 June (Nub News).

Ken Rushton, Former Race Director for the Potters 'Arf commented: "Since 2005, the Potters 'Arf has been the local flagship event that everyone wants to take part in and experience the fantastic support on the course and take in the atmosphere of a city centre finish."
