Reopening of popular Stoke-on-Trent pub brought forward
The reopening of a popular pub in Stoke-on-Trent has been brought forward two days.
The Reginald Mitchell, in Hanley, was originally due to reopen on Thursday 12 December, but the pub will now reopen to customers at 8am on Tuesday 10 December.
This is due to work being completed earlier than expected.
The venue closed on 21 October for a £1.4 million refurbishment, including building work to repair the roof, new access, full internal redecoration and new staff facilities.
Wetherspoon spokesman Eddie Gershon said: "The investment highlights the company's commitment to Hanley, to its staff and to its customers.
"The pub plays an important part in the town's social scene and we trust that it will continue to do so for many more years to come."
