Charlie Bassetts, in Dilhorne, has today been granted planning permission to open a campsite behind the popular country pub.
This is despite council planning officers calling for the proposals to be refused permission earlier this week.
However more than 170 people spoke out to support their bid for caravan pitches at a popular camping spot.
Charlie Bassett's has welcomed families and tourists from the local area as well as further afield to stay in the beautiful Staffordshire Moorlands.
But last year their camping permit was revoked due to noise complaints from neighbours.
Today, the pub was granted permission to add seven caravan pitches, as well as seven overflow pitches and a facilities building providing toilets, shower and a washing up area.
Charlie Bassett's Landlord, Paul Collins said: "Thanks to Staffordshire Moorlands Councillors common sense has prevailed, and we can continue to make memories."
Kieth Flunder, Staffordshire Moorlands Cabinet Member for Tourism and Regeneration, said: "This is something we all agreed with and needed to progress.
"We will have a look into the design so it doesn't infringe the greenbelt but it will definitely help to keep the village of Dilhorne going."
