Police, paramedics and air ambulance at Waterworld after 'incident'

Police and paramedics are at Waterworld in Etruria this afternoon following an 'incident'.

The Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford was also at the scene after the alarm was raised at 4:20pm.

Waterworld, on Festival Way, has now been closed following the incident.

There are several police cars at the indoor water park along with two ambulances and a paramedic officer.

The nature of the incident is unknown and it is ongoing therefore the emergency services cannot provide any more information at this time.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We currently have two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford at an incident on Festival Way in Stoke on Trent following a call at 4.20pm."

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "We are currently at Waterworld on Festival Way, Etruria, with other emergency services, dealing with an incident.

"Due to the incident, the building has been closed."

The air ambulance has since left the scene.

Stoke Nub News approached West Midlands Ambulance Service and Staffordshire Police for updated statements when appropriate.
