Police launch appeal after Longton charity shop burgled overnight

Staffordshire Police are appealing for information following a burglary at a charity shop in Longton this morning.

At 8am, police were called to The Strand after signs of forced entry were found at a shop.

The glass had been smashed and a till had been taken from inside.

Officers are working with the owner of the shop as part of their enquiries and would like to speak to anyone with any information.

Officers are calling for anyone who saw anything suspicious to get in touch (Staffordshire Police).

Police are asking anyone who saw anything "suspicious" in the area overnight to contact them on 101 quoting incident 155 of 17 July or report it via the website.
