Plans to install two new rapid electric vehicle charging stations on a coffee chain car park in Stoke have been approved.

The two new electric vehicle charging stations and feeder pillar on Costa Coffee car park, King Street, Fenton, will replace three existing parking spaces.

Case officer, Angela Barlow, said: "Loss of one parking space would be acceptable and no objection to the proposals".

The two new charging points and associated equipment will take up three existing spaces (Instavolt).

Instavolt submitted plans for the new stations on 24 March.

The UK electric vehicle charging network operator says the installation work should not take longer than one week.
