A person was rescued after getting stuck in mud in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to a pond off Lymes Road following reports that an individual was stuck up to their knees in mud.
The service was called at 7.25pm on Tuesday (6 October).
Crews attended the scene and formed a rescue path to reach the individual.
They were then checked over by paramedics.
Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service is now reminding people to take care in areas of deep mud and water.
A spokesperson for the service said: "We are reminding people to never attempt to cross muddy areas as it is difficult to know how deep the mud is and you can easily get stuck.
"There is also no way of knowing what hazards are in the area, such as broken bottles or sharp metal."
